There is no end of the discussion among fans about Nag Ashwin’s upcoming film, Project K. And, the first glimpse of that film is released today. As previously, the makers promised that the first look of the film will be released on 20th July in USA and on 21st July in India. Not only that, a billboard in New York’s Times Square was also seen advertising Project K, which read, Witness the First Glimpse on July 20th. And, the wait is over, the first glimpse of Project K is released.

A teaser was released by the Vyjayanthi Movies and it was captioned Project K is now Kalki 2898 – AD. So officially, the name of the movie is Kalki 2898 – AD.
As the makers said before, They have tried to bring out a mixture of fantasy and science in the film, and the script of the film is based on the modern-day avatar of Vishnu, and they wanted to capture the contemporary situation and emotions. But, makers also said before the film will be released in two parts, but there is no mentioning that this is the first part of the film.

But why so much madness, and waiting for this film? Because, Nag Ashwin’s upcoming film is called Project K, and it stars South superstar actor Prabhas, along with Bollywood’s Big B Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani. But the list of actors does not end here, South actor Kamal Haasan has also joined the list of the cast in this film.
This film is going to be a different genre film in the world of Indian cinema. According to a report by the international entertainment magazine “Variety”, before the release of the first glimpse of the film on July 21st, the makers of the film were said to announce the full title, teaser trailer and release date of the film on July 20th at the United States Comic Con. It is the first Indian film to be released at the San Diego Comic Con in the US. However, earlier the makers of the film shared several pictures of actress Deepika Padukone from the film and gave some glimpse of her character from the film. In this regard, it should be noted that Deepika Padukone is going to make her Telugu film debut through this film, and she is going to take a fee of 10 crore rupees for this film. Also, the other characters are reported by various media, Amitabh Bachchan to play a role similar to Ashwathama from Mahabharata, and Prabhas to play a role similar to Karna.
According to various Indian media, the name of this film will be changed to Kalchakra. It is known that the screenplay of this film is based on Mahabharata, with a touch of science fiction. Many media have also reported that this film is being made in the context of the Indian epic Mahabharata and World War III. In an interview, producer Ashwini Dutta said, “We have tried to bring out a mixture of fantasy and science in the film. The script of the film is based on the modern-day avatar of Vishnu. But also, we wanted to capture the contemporary situation and emotions.” The film will be released in two parts. This film is being made at a cost of around 600 crore rupees.
This film is scheduled to release next year i.e. on 12th January 2024. The shooting of this film started in July 2021. According to the film’s producers, such a film has not been made in the last 50 years of Indian cinema.
