Rashmika Mandanna, a well-known actress in Indian cinema, was just named the National Ambassador for efforts pertaining to cyber safety. Her personal encounter with a troubling deepfake video event earlier this year led to her appointing from the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C). In her new position, Rashmika Mandanna will be in charge of national awareness campaigns that educate the public about cyber threats such as dangerous content driven by AI, online fraud, and cyberbullying.
